COMPREHENSIVE SKILLS CLINICS
Comprehensive Skills Clinics are sessions for female identifying, and non-binary players that focus on overall skills and foundational development. Players receive instruction in all of the core 4 skill areas; skating, stick handling, passing and shooting and play small area games to help players apply their skills in a competitive setting. Practices start with a skating-related warm up before players are divided into small groups by age and skill level for stationed-based work with a game a that the end of the session.
Players are required to have basic level skating experience. Those who do not, should check out our Learn to Skate & Play offerings or contact us for private lessons. Full equipment is also required unless otherwise discussed with Girls 4 Hockey.
Pricing varies by session, but Comprehensive Skills Clinics do allow for flexibility of schedule. Players can register as one-time, part-time or full-time participants.

Fall 2026 Pre-Season Comp Skills
Looking for ice to prepare you for upcoming tryouts and your season? Serving female-identifying and non-binary players birth years 2012 - 2021*, these clinics are a great way to brush up on your skills and get into shape before the season. Pre-Season Comp focuses on the core 4 skills of skating, shooting, stick handling, and passing, but does so through the lens of what evaluators and coaches at each age group look for at tryouts. For those leveling up to full-ice play, we also spend time going over the basics of full-ice rules, including review of off-sides and faceoffs.
Players are placed in small groups by age and skill level for optimal development and so they can practice the skills analyzed at their age level.
Goalies welcome! A goalie coach will be hired for any sessions with a goalie registered 24 hours in advance. Sessions will consist of goalie-specific work with a goalie coach as well as shots taken from players in their age group.
*Participants must have foundational skating experience. Younger players may be accepted on a case by case basis.
